Singer-songwriter and producer rouri404 has announced the release of his forthcoming EP titled crows, which will be released on June 21 on Red Bull Records. Alongside this great news, the artist has released his new single “skin,” consolidating his position in the alternative/emo music scene.
After the energetic success of their song “shotgun carousel,” rouri404 presents a more stripped down sound on “skin,” characterized by acoustic guitar chords and emotive lyrics. This change shows their musical evolution while maintaining the distinctive hyperpop influences with bouncy synths and glitch effects.
Thinking about “skin,” rouri404 shares:
“On ‘skin,’ I just wanted to touch on the feelings and thoughts of losing people in life on terms that you can’t really control. As simple as it is, I think there’s a beauty in learning to let go and being able to find ways to cope and still move on with life, rolling with the punches instead of trying to always fight back.”
