News: Royals Release ‘Daydreamer’

Pop-punkers Royals release another earwormy track that will have you throwing your hands in the air and bouncing to the rhythm. Titled “Daydreamer,” it follows the band’s 2023 deluxe EP A Spark To Reignite.

“We’re all told to live in the real world, but sometimes, the real world sucks,” the band say. “So ‘Daydreamer’ shows the value in prioritizing personal happiness and instead choosing to live a blissful daydream.”

Sam Guaiana, who has mixed some of the biggest pop punk songs of the past few years, magnificently mixes the track while Grant Berry (Stand Atlantic/ Hot Milk) masters it. Each band member brings their “A” game in “Daydreamer,” but vocalist Luke Smithson steals the show with his elite pipes and production work.

“Tell me you’re here with me now,” Smithson sings, encouraging listeners to go out and own their dream world.

Sonically, the band mirror some of Neck Deep’s best work. The music video features bright, positive colors not unlike Neck Deep’s hit song “In Bloom.” That video, in particular, ignited a short wave of pop punk music videos embracing colorful sets and props.

Royals appears on the verge of a major breakout. Keep a close eye on their music here.
