Sam Russo announces a new album in which he will be the life of the party, Back To The Party, out March 27 via Red Scare.
“Back To The Party is the album I’ve always wanted to make,” says Russo. “It took a while to write, and I think that shows because it sounds really fresh, but the songs feel like they’ve been around the block a few times. It’s like a photo album you thought you’d lost. I took a lot of risks on this record, and I’m so glad I did because it came out sounding really original and totally true to what I was trying to say for so many years.
“I hope it’s as cathartic for people to hear as it was for me to write and record—it’s an acoustic pop-punk record with pedal steel and songs about dying; what more is there to say?”
