News: Sawyer Releases New Song ‘My Fault’

Sawyer

Solo alternative musician Sawyer releases his newest song “My Fault.” The powerful track is accompanied by an electric music video and represents a step forward for the ascending artist.

“I wrote the song about a heartfelt situation that touches on the universal theme of acknowledging one’s mistakes and resulting personal growth over time,” Sawyer explains. “And the inner turmoil that often accompanies moments of realization.”

The artist says “My Fault” accumulates at the onset of the final few lines with the lyrics “I fuck shit up my way/ I guess I’m not your taste.” The track is eclectic in style, utilizing elements of pop-punk, emo, and trap. “My Fault” is a delectable smorgasbord of sounds.

Filmographer Alex Edep crafted the music video. Sawyer is the latest in a growing line of talented, solo alternative artists to work with Edep. As a collective, these sort of musicians are pulling pop-punk and emo in a direction that could provide space for more creativity while attracting a wider audience.
