Marissa Paternoster, frontwoman of the iconic Screaming Females, has announced her first fully solo album, Peace Meter, out December 3 via Don Giovanni Records.

To celebrate the album announcement, Paternoster has released lead single and video, “White Dove”.

Marissa Paternoster Peace Meter

After arriving home from a west coast tour cut short due to Covid, the Screaming Females’ vocalist/guitarist immediately began writing her solo album. Alone in her grandmother’s empty home, she sent the skeleton of a song to Andy Gibbs from the metal band THOU with the hopes that he might be able to extrapolate on the original idea. Andy sent his accompaniment back, and that process continued for the bulk of the first wave of quarantine.

Paternoster – included on the list of Greatest Guitarists Of All Time by SPIN Magazine – released a collaborative EP under the NOUN name this past summer titled In The Shade.
