Punk band Searching for Closure are riding high from their recent release “Where I Need To Be.” The song dropped in December and still belongs on your new punk playlist.
“Where I Need To Be’ is about finally finding that peace of mind and doing what you love to do,” band member Ty Campbell says. “In this case, it’s about five friends hitting the road and doing what we love to do, which is make music and perform while sharing amazing experiences with people all over.”
The former Florida-based band now spends their time touring in Michigan. They jokingly sometimes refer to their music as “whatevercore.”
“We call our music ‘whatever core’ depending on our mood and music direction,” Campbell explains. “One song could be super heavy deathcore sounding, while the next could be totally opposite, like post hardcore.”
The band will release another single on March 26, titled “Lust.” A music video for the song will drop on the same day.
