Season of Mist are proud to announce that they have partnered with the musicians of Savage Lands. With the newly wrought joined forces, both parties aim to support the forests in Costa Rica.
Two angry metalheads started their own non-profit organization in the name of Savage Lands in 2022. Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren and musician-turned-activist Sylvain Demercastel (who is a Costa Rica resident) started the project because of their mutual passion for savage heavy metal and wildlife preservation, and hence, the name came out to be.
The project have recently released their debut track, “The Last Howl,” accompanied by a thought-provoking music video.

Sylvain shares his thoughts:
“Hearing the chainsaw on a daily basis because of a recent real estate fever destroying Costa Rica’s ecosystem, we thought it was time to start a new type of action. We are reaching out to this great active community of metalheads.”
