Chaotic metalcore group Serration are less than a month away from releasing their upcoming full-length, Simulations Of Hell. Representing the band’s newest single off of the album comes the technical and frenzied, “Altar Of Guilt.”
Serration rip through the track in under two minutes, blending sheer intensity, a rugged tone, and frantic stringwork, with a vocal feature from David Blom of Sanction. “Altar Of Guilt” is the third released track, following “Shroud of Gnarled Tongues” and “A Suicide Note in Midi Format,” from the upcoming full-length due out September 15 via Daze Records.
In regards to the lyrics for “Altar Of Guilt,” vocalist Cody Dewald explains: “‘Altar of Guilt’ is about worshiping materialistic items and valuing them more than themselves or others around them. Take a holiday like Black Friday or in Canada we have Boxing Day. People will trample and fight one another for 10% off a 30” flat screen tv and those same people will be in church Sunday morning wanting their sins to be forgiven. It’s a joke.”
