New York City ska group The Slackers return with the announcement of their first album in seven years. Don’t Let the Sunlight Fool Ya is out April 15 via Pirates Press Records.
The title track gives the first taste of the album (and a teaser for bright, sunny weather as winter hopefully winds to a close).
“It’s the springtime … it looks really nice through the window,” says frontman Vic Ruggiero of the track. “The sun feels good. … You go outside, and all of a sudden, you realize it’s winter still. It’s like you thought you put sugar in your coffee, but it was salt.”
