Snoozer are set to release their new album MidEarth next month, on September 13, and they just put out the final sneak peak single ahead of it. “Fadda Radda” is a feel-good, end-of-summer soundtrack song that will inspire you to chill out in a hammock and watch the sunset. Its catchy chorus is one you won’t be mad about humming all day.
“I remember making the Fadda Radda riff and thinking, ‘Why am I making this Doobie Bros bullshit?’ and discarded it. A few weeks later, while I was on my bike, this weird chant popped in my head: ‘Fadda Radda Ra Yeah,’ and I realized it was to the chords of the stupid Doobie riff. That was that,’ explains Kelly.
If you haven’t yet heard of Snoozer, they are a duo made of up brothers Mike and Tom Kelly. The two started the band back in 2007 but have both been consumed with various musical undertakings in the time since. Tom has been the touring drummer for Alex G for several years, and Mike pursued multiple solo projects. MidEarth has become a revitalization of Snoozer and is the first album being released under their label, Born Loser Records.
