Coming out of Texas like a beautiful phoenix bird, a southwestern punk rock band is about to bring destruction with earth shattering riveting screams and punches: Starving Wolves. This band has pure rage and punk rock at their finest, coming at us via Pirates Press Records.
With so much darkness in the world, we have a band that stands up for what’s right and what is wrong. Starving Wolves sing about mental health, brutality, and personal issues with cultural identity. This new album coming out is going to send shockwaves through our ears, The Fire. The Wolf, The Fang.
Starving Wolves have created this sound with a mesh of Mexican and Latin America and a raw and striking comparison to a battle in the fields between good and evil. Their western ambiance stands out among the rest. The album starts out with “Nothing More,” giving respect to the culture of Latin America and punk rock and charging it with powerful drum session ready for a fight! “Burn The Stations” takes anger to the sky with no prisoners taken. They talk about police brutality, and freedom in which we are rendered no power from these situations. By the lyrical content, they sing for those that have had their justice taken away.
The third song on this explosive album is “Mixed Blood,” in which the culture identity has been diminished and smeared from many today. The guitars and drumbeats tell their story as the vocals scream for hope in change. Being a mixed band, their lyrics talk about the difficulties in being proud of their heritage with so much hate and resentment throughout all cultures lashing out with blame.
Every song on this album supports the fight against the injustices of the world. They dive into the darkness with their bare hands and preach that punk rock strength to have no fear. Starving Wolves have contributed to the youth building skate parks on reservation land of the indigenous, providing positivity to athletes and giving those less fortunate hope for a better life with opportunities to strive. Starving Wolves are dark and dominate strength in their lyrics, their sound, and who they are as band. Starving Wolves are visionaries that are conquering on another level. The Fire. The Wolf, The Fang is being released to the world via Pirates Press Records on May 3.
The album is currently up for pre-order.
