State Faults have released another track off of their upcoming album, Children of the Moon. The album is to go out on July 26 via Deathwish Inc. and Dog Knights in the UK/Europe. The newest track is titled “Divination.”

The new album pushes the boundaries of the screamo genre and showcases the band’s creative evolution with each track of the album. On the album’s third single, they pull no punches musically and the lyrics make an equal impact.
Vocalist and guitarist Jonny Andrew on Children of the Moon:
“The scariest part about big changes in your life is the unknown. It’s easy to view uncertainty as ‘negative space.’ We scrutinize this nebulous, mysterious future, comparing it to the past, letting old patterns and behaviors put blinders on to any potential for positive change. When we let go of the past and unburden ourselves with preconceived and usually unfounded fears, that scary looming void magically blooms with endless possibilities for happiness.”
State Faults re-emerged in 2019 after a five year hiatus. They spent that time playing with their indie-punk side project Slow Bloom. They burst back on the scene with their third full-length album, Clairvoyant, in hand. The success had them touring extensively across North America and Europe. With a renewed sense of maturity and focus, each member was eager to seize the momentum in 2020. Unfortunately the world shut down not long after, and they were forced to cancel their tours.
In the post-pandemic time, State Faults embraced the landscape by immersing themselves in fresh material. After a year of intensive writing, they teamed up with the producer Chris Teti in Burlington, CT to give birth to Children of the Moon. Since the world was still in a shut-down state, they spent the following years biding their time whilst navigating post-production delays, financial hardships, personal misfortune, and a near break-up before finding the best time to put the album in the hands of the world.
State Faults are going to be on tour this summer and fall across select cities in the United States. They will be going across the West Coast in the summer and the East Coast during the fall.
