STMNTS new single “Save Face” continues to be one of their most popular songs a month after its release. The five-piece, pop-punk outfit from Baltimore touches all corners of the scene with its sound, an ability reflected in this tune.
“’Save Face’ is about not really knowing who you are and recognizing the different person you are to different people,” vocalist Liam King explains. “It’s about wanting to be accepted and sometimes hating the person you’ve become and the things you are willing to do to be liked.”
‘Save Face” comes hot on the heals of the band’s release of Tendencies, their 2023 EP. The new tune was produced, mixed, and mastered by Jeff McKinnon at Controlled Sound Studios with additional production provided by Evan Seeberger.
“It’s really just about all the things you do to try to figure out who you are and the frustration that comes with not being able to do that,” King continued.
Along with King, STMNTS are made up of rhythm guitarist Jamie Black, lead guitarist Drew Chiodo, bassist Josh Pelc, and drummer Shawn Smyth. You can definitely hear the band’s inspirations in their music, includingFour Year Strong, The Wonder Years, Bayside, and the like.
