Five-piece scene newcomer from hotbed Baltimore, Maryland, STMTS (pronounced statements) release their debut track “Handpainted.” The song features Patrick Williams from House & Home and cements the band as an up-and-coming pop-punk, emo, and post-hardcore standout.
“I’m really hyped this song is the first to come out because it’s the first one we all worked on together since I joined up with the guys and it solidified for me that the group was gonna mesh well musically,” singer Liam King says.
King is joined by rhythm guitarist Jamie Black, lead guitarist Drew Chiodo, bassist Josh Pelc, and drummer Shawn Smyth. Each are well-known in the East Coast scene, evident by their energetic shows and polished sound.
“Handpainted” is the first single from the soon-to-be-released debut EP “Tendencies.”
“It definitely suits the ‘open the windows in the car and blast it’ kind of vibe, and I’m really happy we were able to get Patrick to do a guest spot for us since House and Home is one of my favorite bands,” King continues.
