South Carolina’s deep south has a special place for the punk hardcore trailblazers Stretch Arm Strong.
There are no bands that can compare. Through hell and high water, Stretch Arm Strong have been conquering and laying it down since 1992 with positive tracks and mindsets for the masses. Leaving for a hiatus to get a reset and focus, Stretch Arm Strong came back with a magnificent return at 2021 Furnace Fest, the comeback of a lifetime. Their return ignited the bands’ presence and inspired everyone to get back to business. It was a strong reminder of the comradery of solid friendships and why they play music. Today, the beast of an EP will be unleashed via Iodine Recordings, The Revealing.
This new EP, The Revealing, is sending shockwaves to the press and to every hardcore fan of Stretch Arm Strong. It’s captivating, extremely fast, and hard as hell. The first song “The Mirror” is riveting at the get go, an explosive reason to do what they do. Hardcore music is the glue that keeps everyone going and inspiring all of us to go hard. “Illuminating” is a throwdown with some very cool melody mix in there. What a beautiful song!
“Aspirations” is hardcore with a punk rock vibe and a strong slam against the wall. “Still Believe, Part III” sounds like a symbolic song giving respect and love for the hardcore scene. “Take A Stand” and “A Revealing” will blow your ever-loving mind. You won’t be able to get enough of this new music with the insane breakdowns, melodies mixing it up setting your soul free. With these six songs comes a bond of friends that are carrying the torch for the hardcore scene and for their love of music. The EP speaks for itself.
