Yesterday, powerpop powerwashers Supercrush released a new video for their dreamy, ’70s flavored single, “Be Kind To Me.” The song is off of the band’s forthcoming LP SODO Pop, which will be released on October 9 via Don Giovanni Records. Check out the video below:

This is great because it actually feels like the type of music video you might have seen on MTV during the mid ’90s when the Posies-esque rock the band is tapping into could still contend for air time with Real World.

The video is appropriately Tom Petty-esque in its high concept simplicity. Essentially the video plays out as if it were captured on a series of slides in a viewfinder, which you experience vicariously through a POV character. Simple? Yes. Effective? You bet!
