Brooklyn punks Surfbort have announced their new album, Keep On Truckin’, will be released September 24 as part of the recently launched partnership between legendary producer, composer and philanthropist, Linda Perry and SoundCloud/Repost.
Known for their visceral and confrontational live shows, Surfbort just recently shot a video for “FML” featuring comedian and band leader/drummer of Late Night with Seth Meyers, Fred Armisen who walks around doing good deeds all day then transforms into each member of the band saving them from their extreme depression.
In the lead up to the release of Keep On Truckin’, SURFBORT will be hosting a pre-save give-away contest where three lucky fans who pre-save the album will be sent a care package from the band.
Lead singer Dani Miller says of the upcoming LP:
“We wanted to make an album that covered all the feels: being the main character, feeling hopeless, hating billionaires, feeling lost, dealing with addictions of drinking, drugs, food lovers, solitude in being alone, the beauty among the suffering and like our last album we hope this album is a friend and support you need at your low moments and a celebration of your true self at your highest moments.
Keep On Truckin’ even though things feel impossible or like the world is about to end there are magical moments ahead.”
Fans also have the chance to attend a secret album listening ‘pool party’, by submitting videos of themselves dressed up as the frontwoman and performing their favorite SURFBORT track. The 20 best impersonators will be chosen to attend the party, and feature in a music video captured at the event, while the best “Dani” will win an even bigger, better, secret prize. All submissions will be made into a supercut and used on social media to promote the album.
