Canadian band SWIIMS jut released a new single, “All I Die For,” from their forthcoming album Into The Blue Night.
Describing the album, guitarist/vocalist Colin Thompson says: “Into The Blue Night feels like an emergence from a long tunnel into the light beyond. New but at the same time, familiar. It’s a natural progression from our first EP, taking the elements of our sound and amplifying them.”
“All I Die For,” the lead single from the album, features reverb-heavy vocals and lots of gripping and melodic guitar work.
Mai Diaz Langou says about the song: “…the beginning stages of a relationship—how you try to make yourself more intriguing or impressive than you are in order to keep that person interested. The feeling of hopefulness, bliss, and loss of control that the start of any new relationship brings.”
There are no diamonds without massive pressure. SWiiMS funneled the last few years of struggle and strife into their art and created their stunning debut LP. And while we all turn to music for different reasons, whatever that reason is for you, you’re going to feel better after you tune in.
