Canadian indie dream pop artists SWiiMS released a new video for their single “In Puzzles” to commemorate the release of their latest album Into the Blue Night which was released last Friday from Mint 400 Records. The video is packed with bizarre imagery as the video follows the band’s singer, Mai Diaz Langou, riding around town on a bicycle. Check out the unique music video below.

Regarding the song itself, “In Puzzles,” the band say, “It reflects on the process of figuring out your new relationship. Enjoying every moment and not rushing to move ahead too fast. Savoring the minutes, hours, and days as you discover each other. Giving signals, but also holding things back, letting things blossom slowly. The song, like the rest of the album, tries to capture the balancing act of falling in love and the feelings of isolation, and loss brought on by the global pandemic. All in all, it is a song that is filled with hope and anticipation.”

The album, which was produced by Toronto-based producer Josh Korody, was written and recorded over the last year and explores themes like fear of death and frustration with humanity during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Into The Blue Night feels like an emergence from a long tunnel into the light beyond. New but at the same time, familiar. It’s a natural progression from our first EP, taking the elements of our sound and amplifying them.”
