Taco Bell’s Feed the Beat program, launched in 2006, has helped to promote artists and music fans discover new acts, with this recent collaborations including Meet Me at the Altar and Portugal the Man. Along with the debut of singles by those artists last month, Taco Bell have also featured music by larger acts such as Turnstile and Doja Cat in their ads in recent years.
This Sunday, the fast food chain are dropping two new ads highlighting artists in the punk and electronic genres. The first ad features Mannequin Pussy, and it’s a remix of Militarie Gun’s “Pressure Cooker” and the second showcasing LA power-disco duo Cobra Man’s 2021 single “Powered Up.”
On the collaboration, Militarie Gun’s Ian Shelton said, “Taco Bell is an institution in the touring world; it’s what literally every band finds themselves eating, probably more often than they would like to admit. Ever since I was a kid and heard of them giving food to touring bands, and since then, I imagined getting free Taco Bell. Can’t believe it’s finally happened.”
