News: Taylor Acorn Collabs With Cassadee Pope on ‘Coma’

Popular alternative and pop punk artist Taylor Acorn joins forces with longtime scene icon Cassadee Pope on her new single “Coma.” It comes ahead of her new EP, Certified Depressant, which will drop on September 22.

“’Coma’ is about the awakening out of a toxic relationship, feeling free but also almost unrecognizable from the person you were when you were in it,” Acorn says.

Pope contributed to the writing process of “Coma.” Acorn describes herself as a fan of Hey Monday and thought Pope would “put her own spin” on the track.

It’s been a busy few weeks for the young artist. Taylor also announced her first Fall East Coast headlining tour, making stops in Toronto, ON, Pittsburgh, Chicago, New York, Columbus and Atlanta before wrapping up in Nashville, a city where she cut her teeth.

Buoyed by songs like “Do That Again,” “In My Head” and “Shapeshifting,” Acorn has become a staple in the pop punk community. She’s joined a handful of fast risers, like Arrows In Action and 408, on their biggest tracks.
