Colorado Springs-based outlaw alt-folk group Tejon Street Corner Thieves have announced their forthcoming record, Juxtaposition, due out October 27 via Liars Club Records. In addition, the barstool preachers offer the first taste of new music through the catchy single, “Can’t Remember.”
The track presents a slow, tenderhearted melody where the TSCT charm and intoxicate the listener with their proven brand of trashgrass n’ blues. The newest offering certainly maintains the band’s ability to stir up a strong cocktail of emotion.
Of the new album, TSCT vocalist and banjo player Connor O’Neal states: “The album is about life and death, love and loss, partying, and sobriety. The album encompasses the wide range of emotions we’ve experienced over the life of our band. We explored the differences in our writing styles and combined them in a way that creates an ebb and flow of fun party jams and serious, and sometimes heartbreaking, Americana anthems. Inspired by our friends and family. The whole world was our canvas for Juxtaposition.”
Juxtaposition was recorded at Royal Recordings in Colorado Springs, CO with producer Bill Douglas (Veruca Salt, Smashing Pumpkins) and will arrive in October via Liars Club Records. The album is comprised of nine tracks in total and is the follow up to the group’s last full-length, Thick As Thieves.
