Texas heavy metal act Frost Koffin have announced the release of their upcoming LP, Southern Misery. With the LP set to be independently released on November 1, Frost Koffin offer listeners their newest single, “Texas Bullwhip.” The band’s latest video stream was created by Austin Evans.
Hailing from the heart of Texas, Frost Koffin are a breath of fresh air who offer listeners high-powered, Southern heavy metal hospitality, with a simplistic feel to it. They have proven across their catalogue of singles and EPs that they can eschew the tedious clichés and tropes of metalcore in favor of a more natural, classic sound.
Frost Koffin’s instruments come together to create a hard-hitting, rhythmic backbone that provides the foundation for wall-smashing grooves, shards of thrash, and gripping vocal choruses. The band draw influence from the likes of Metallica, Pantera, Alice In Chains, and Thin Lizzy, colliding Dime-inspired guitar flare with some laid-back, soulful singin’. Southern Misery comes engineered by Austin Coupe and Josh Schroeder, and mixed and mastered by Josh Schroeder.

Southern Misery track list:
1. Deceived by Trust

5. Wander Away
