News: The Bonstones Release ‘Mohawk Dog’ Single and Video

The Bonstones

Pop punkers The Bonstones have released the second single from their debut album, East Bay Elergy. Check out “Mohawk Dog” now!

The band released the single, named after their official mascot–Marky (drums and vocals)’s family dog, and also his company logo as a certified dog trainer–on the eve of their show at Winter’s Tavern in Pacifica for the Unauthorized Dog Surfing Championship After Party, to benefit the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA.

Robby (vocals and guitar), also a dog trainer, co-wrote the song with Marky to represent our canine friends and clients and the ups and downs of being family members (dog adopters) and trainers.

Veterans of the SF Bay Area music scene, The Bonstones formed amid a shared love for pop punk a la Ramones and The Mr. T Experience. Their first music video for “Saturday Nancy” was a big hit, and their debut album, East Bay Elegy, has been making the rounds online, with the band busy playing local shows in support of the record.

The Bostones will play the Golden Bull in Oakland, CA on September 1 with support from Pinoles, Stay Out, and Awkward Since ‘82.
