U.K. punk legends The Damned have shared the details of their new E.P. entitled The Rockfield Files. The four song platter will be issued by Search and Destroy/Spinefarm Records on October 16th. It will be available on basic black and psychedelic swirl limited edition vinyl. Pre-order here.

The Rockfield Files marks The Damned’s return to Rockfield Studios, where they recorded the classics The Black Album (1980), Friday the 13th (1981), and Strawberries (1982). They have also shared the first single and video for “Keep ‘Em Alive”. The song is about the importance of bees to human survival, and is shot from the perspective of a bee!

The Damned were one of the U.K.’s original punk bands. They were the first English punk band to release a single (“New Rose”, 1976), an LP (Damned Damned Damned, 1977) and tour the U.S. (also 1977). On top of all that, they still pack a punch more than four decades later!
