It’s not every day you see Justin Hawkins dressed as a Chameleon, so make sure to remember this moment for a while. The Darkness frontman took centre stage behind a mask on ITV’s The Masked Singer on Saturday January 11.
Following his anonymous performances while smashing out Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” and Radiohead’s “Creep,” Justin’s reveal shocked fans all across the globe.
Telling listeners about his moment on The Masked Singer, Justin states, “The toughest part of the process was learning relatively modern songs. I’m not fond of new music, so I had to force myself to assimilate inferior compositions … Plus, it was difficult to sing from within a helmet! I was very pleased with the panel’s observations about my physique. It was so very flattering. The negative remarks were fully justified, I think. I actually agreed with everything they said!”
With The Darkness set to rock North America in Spring 2020, it’s safe to say Justin’s colorful performance will be the talk of every town for some time.
