If you’re familiar with Ilan Rubin, it’s likely from his work as a sideman. Rubin has performed with Nine Inch Nails and Angels & Airwaves, recorded on Grammy award-winning albums by Paramore and Beck, the list goes on. He also, however, leads his own solo project, The New Regime, which have announced a new album titled Heart Mind Body & Soul out March 6.

The album will be made up in four EP-sized parts, with Heart and Mind having been released last year and Body slated for January 24. That EP is preceded by the album’s title track, a revved-up rocker showing off Rubin’s knack for pop hooks and rock power.

Rubin played all instruments on the new album, a true musicians’ musician type feat. That likely won’t be the case when The New Regime heads to the road with Silversun Pickups this spring.
