The Region release their latest EP titled A New Point Of View, an excellent collection of post-hardcore and pop-punk songs. You can hear the band’s Midwest roots reflected in every corner, from the melody to the song writing.
“This is our longest and most versatile release to date,” the band say. “We experimented with a lot of new elements while retaining the core sound our fans know and love.”
There are clear layers to the A New Point Of View, from the poppy “New Era” to the scream-filled “Under The Rug” and the early 2000’s emo-sounding “Peace of Mind.” Alternative, hip-hop artist Cole Rodriguez joins the band on the catchy “Drown Together.” For just seven tracks, there is so much to like on this collection of songs.
“Both new and returning listeners are sure to vibe with on this EP,” the band continue.
The Region held their album release party at Brewfest in Highland, IN. For more information on upcoming shows, turn here.
