Reggae band The Slackers have announced that they are donating the proceeds of their single “Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya” to Doctors Without Borders.
The sales from the February Bandcamp downloads is where they’ll be donating from.
“Having been all around the world and met so many different people who have supported us, we want to pay it forward to those in need of help, especially since the COVID pandemic has only made things worse,” says saxophonist Dave Hillyard.
“Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya” is title track for the band’s new album, now available for preorder.
“Yeah, it’s the springtime … it looks really nice through the window. The sun feels good. You go outside, and all of a sudden, you realize it’s winter still. It’s like you thought you put sugar in your coffee, but it was salt,” says frontman Vic Ruggiero about the song.
