News: The Sword’s First Reunion Material to be a Jethro Tull Cover

The Sword

The Sword have recently announced that they will make a return, with an appearance at Levitation 2024. With that news in hand, their label Magnetic Eye Records have also announced that the band will release their reunion material soon, and it will be a cover of the legendary band Jethro Tull.

The Sword are going to be a part of the upcoming Magnetic Eye Records’ Aqualung Redux cover album, which will be a Jethro Tull tribute album. A number of bands will pay their homage to the legendary musical act.

Magnetic Eye Records share their thoughts:

“We launch into our latest Redux project with the announcement that the newly reactivated The Sword are taking part in the project.

“The news that The Sword were going on hiatus and possibly coming to an end a few years ago was a massive blow to fans everywhere, so we’re incredibly stoked that the first new recorded music from The Sword since their announcement of new activities will be a track on Aqualung Redux. We can’t wait for fans to hear the buzzing energy of their song on this album, and we’re proud beyond description to help usher in a new era of this band!”
