Los Angeles’ psychedelic rock group The Warlocks just unleashed masterpiece record The Chain via Cleopatra Records.

“Creamy, dreamy, glass breaking-style storytelling,” describes frontman Bobby Hecksher on their freshly released, acid-soaked new album.

From the track “Dear Son” about not being able to escape society to “Mr Boogieman,” a song about not being who they’re supposed to be, the album illustrates life and the justice system. In the retro music video for “Dear Son,” The Warlocks play along to the fictional story as if they’re writing music to it as it unfolds. Cinematic and a whole lot of art, the album translates people from different backgrounds and means.
