Psychedelic shoegazers Tombstones In Their Eyes (TITE) release their newest songs in anticipation of their upcoming album. The tracks titled “No One To Blame” and “Numb” come in anticipation of the release of A Sea Of Sorrow.
That album will be out on May, 16.
“This track is about the duality of my nature,” vocalist and guitarist John Treanor says of “No One To Blame.” “I’m drawn to the darkness and to the light. That’s my struggle and something I write about frequently.”
Treanor says Sea Of Sorrow is inspired by his life experience, including “my ups and downs and my imagination.” He says most of the songs are at least semi-autobiographical. The band’s most recent release, “Numb,” focuses on just that, discussing Treanor’s drug use.
In “No One To Blame,” “Numb,” as well as the new album, TITE lean on their psychedelic and shoegaze influences. Their sound features heavy, fuzzed-out guitars over reverb-drenched, dreamy vocals and precise melodies.
A Sea Of Sorrow will be released through Kitten Robot Records on May 16.
