TR/ST has shared a new single by the name of “Dark Day.” This is one of the singles from his upcoming album, Performance, set to release September 13 via Dais Records.

TR/ST (formerly known as Trust) is the musical project started by the producer, singer, and artist Robert Alfons. Through weaving an entirely unique sonic tapestry, TR/ST has been captivating audiences via dynamic vocals, emotive lyrics, and late-night sensuality for over a decade now.
TR/ST comments about the track:
“I think there’s something in the song about the flashes that come to you when you try to fall asleep, flashes that show you where you have unfinished business. It was such a pleasure working with Cecile Believe and Nightfeelings on production for this track.”
Performance was recorded in Los Angeles and seethes with dread, lust, reckoning, and abandon whilst being backlit by the light pollution of a thousand dead end city streets. The collection was co-produced by the composer and producer Nightfeelings. The album name was derived by an off-hand remark about TR/ST’s performative nature. The music moves between beauty and bitterness to anthem and anguish.
With each track, Alfons wields pop dynamics and brooding production wizardry like a weapon spiraling through a roll call of hits. As a world unto itself, Performance is persuasive, immersive, and intoxicating all at the same time as sitting on the threshold of stirring and disturbing. Alfons vocals sere as an anchor in the storm with a smeared stream of consciousness logic.
