Australia’s Tropical Fuck Storm will release their new album, Deep States, August 20 via Joyful Noise, but you can get a taste of their new tracks with the new song and video, “Bumma Sanger,” out now.

The song is anxious and alien, balancing murky production with piercing guitar, with lyrics referencing the pandemic.

Vocalist Garth Liddlard expands, “You can’t go anywhere or do anything during a lockdown, but I was watching TV during a seance with Winston Churchill and an advert made by an interstellar travel agency came on offering an affordable holiday to a tropical beachside resort on a planet in a different galaxy.”

The album as a whole expands on these ideas, looking at the state of contemporary panic and shining a light on [how] corporate media, corrupt leaders, and the like lose the ability to recognize their own deception.
