Pennsylvania-based super group Twentytwo. release their newest song “The Sound.” The fast-paced track blitzes at a breakneck pace with a ska vibe perfect for summer.
“‘The Sound’ is a nod to everyone we grew up going to shows/being in bands with, letting them know that we miss those days too but are still making an effort today,” the band say.
Twentytwo. formed in 2019 and feature members from Bangarang!, Man Overboard, and Your Best Regret. Their sound blends late 90s, punk, and pop punk with the emo pop from the early 2000s.
You can hear the influence from both those genres in the mastering work of Alan Douches, who helped craft records from genre giants like Saves The Day and Lifetime. He mastered the band’s first EP.
This year looks to be a big year for the band. Twentytwo. have a handful of tracks in the hopper, aided by the mixing and mastering skill of Nick Steinborn from The Wonder Years. “The Sound” is the first of the singles to be released. Keep a close eye out for new music here.
