On Tuesday, Ty Segall released his unannounced album Harmonizer via Drag City Records. The first to be recorded at his newly built Harmonizer Studios, the album finds him exploring dense, synthetic textures with appearances by a host of musicians from his surrounding world.

Co-produced by Cooper Crain (Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Wooden Shjips, Ryley Walker), Harmonizer finds Segall in some of his glossiest territory yet. That being said, the signature, blown-out, fuzz guitar sound remains ever-present.

Throughout the album, Mikal Cronin, The Freedom Band, Ben Boye, Emmett Kelly, and Charles Moothart, musicians known for floating through Segall’s musical community, all make appearances throughout Harmonizer.
