Portland, Oregon’s Unto Others have released their new single, “Butterfly,” which is accompanied by a brilliant music video directed by Zev Deans.

The band share their thoughts:
“…being put down, putting others down, and putting yourself down. There’s so many people in the world who grow up being told they are not good enough, and as an impressionable kid or teenager, it’s easy to believe that. Then they grow up and tell their children the same, and perpetuate the cycle of mediocrity. It takes someone to say ‘no’ for the cycle to stop. To say ‘no, I can do it. It doesn’t have to be the same as before. I can make something new of myself, my life, change myself, and in turn change the world.'”
Unto Others were formed in 2017 and surprised everyone with their debut EP Don’t Waste Your Time. This was released under their previous moniker Idle Hands. The band attracted more attention with their follow-up releases: 2019’s full-length Mana and 2021’s hard-hitting Strength LP.
