Weezer have announced details of a tour of major U.S. venues to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their eponymous debut album, known as the Blue Album.
Rivers Cuomo and his band will perform the album in its entirety, as well as other fan favorites. “The Voyage to the Blue Planet” tour kicks off on September 4 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota and concludes on October 11 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. The tour will feature special guest appearances by The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. during the 22 dates.
In addition to their recent tour announcement, Weezer will also perform at a special anniversary event at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles on March15. Dogstar will be in attendance at this special event, which is a symbolic moment for Weezer, as they remember their March 1992 concert at Raji’s where they opened for Dogstar.
Tickets will go on sale at 10.00 a.m. local time on March 15 via the band’s official website. Tour dates are listed below.
