News: Young Guv Announces Double Album ‘GUV III & IV’

Power-pop songwriter Ben Cook, aka Young Guv, has returned with the announcement of new double album GUV III & IV, with GUV III due March 11 via RFC (and Hand Drawn Dracula in Canada). 

Young Guv recently released the first single from the album, “Lo Lo Lonely”, with enough swaggering guitar pop that would make a Gallagher brother proud.

Cook, currently in No Warning, formerly in Fucked Up for the past 15 years, uses Young Guv as an outlet to explore countless different sounds and styles, from scrappy, first-wave punk to ’80s-influenced R ‘n’ B and beyond. 

GUV III was written in the high desert of Taos, New Mexico under unusual circumstances, with Cook tapping into physical and mental isolation to explore the unshakeable pull of human connection and the rejuvenating power of finding love in others and one’s self.

Young Guv also has a lengthy run of shows lined up in support of GUV III, starting with a U.S. tour with Narrow Head this month and then heading to Europe and the U.K. early next year. Check out the tour dates below.
