Columbus, OH nu metal revivalists Zonezero have unleashed a brand new music video for “Parasite,” the lead single taken off of their upcoming EP, The Chaos Theory. Comprised of five songs in total, the band’s sophomore EP will be released on Friday, August 25.
Equipped with hard-hitting instrumental precision and a heavy dose of melody, Zonezero’s sound draws inspiration from early ’00s nu-metal/alt-metal bands such as Adema, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, and early Sevendust. With similar songwriting principles making up the band’s foundation, Zonezero utilize electronic elements, crushing breakdowns, and a wide vocal range to craft their catchy songs-“Parasite” being the perfect example of this.
Of the upcoming EP, vocalist Jordan Sloan states: “The Chaos Theory is about three years in the making, and what we feel is a natural, yet very strong and formulated, progression from our first EP. We feel great about this release and the future as a band, and we hope people love it just as much as we do.”

The Chaos Theory was recorded by Matt Guglielmo (Spite/VCTMS) in Newton, NJ in December of 2022. Zonezero is Jordan Sloan on vocals, Robert Patton on guitar, John Vadala on guitar, Knox Fields on bass, and Mike White on drums. Zonezero will hold a live release show for the EP on Saturday, August 26, at Ace Of Cups in Columbus, OH. Tickets to the event can be purchased here.
