Buffalo, NY act On The Cinder have announced tour dates with OC45 that take place later this month.
Jason Wright, Tyler Rzemek, and Mike Jacobs formed On The Cinder during the vicious winter of 2012, in the frozen tundra of Buffalo, NY. The three piece were college friends/roommates that played in various punk and ska projects over their years slacking at the University at Buffalo.
OTC sprinted out of the gates and began touring in the summer of 2013 and haven’t stopped since, with several national tours and runs through Canada on their resume. Tyler always tells young bands looking to hit the road, “As soon as you have 8 songs and a car, just go.”
The band’s musical direction dances the line between technical melodic hardcore and gnashing fast skate punk, with sprinkles of bearded fat guy org core mixed in. In 2016, the band teamed up with Pittsburgh’s Between The Days Records to put out their first full length LP, “The Fight Against Ourselves”. On The Cinder is currently working on a follow up record, looking to refine what “The Fight” established of the band’s sound and dig deeper into the potential of the band’s song writing.
