Owen, the celebrated solo project of American Football frontman Mike Kinsella, shares a brand new video for “Settled Down”, a highlight from his recently released eighth album The King of Whys. The album was released earlier this year via Polyvinyl Records. The video, which poignantly reflects the minutiae of domestic fatherhood and the vast emotional ripples they can conceal (very much in keeping with, not just “Settled Down”, but The King of Whys as a whole), was directed by Dan Huiting and Brendan Lauer in Minneapolis, MN.
Kinsella says: “It was quite arduous to make. Instead of spending the whole weekend at home playing with my kids and drinking with my friends, I had to go to Minneapolis and play with other people’s kids and drink with new friends.”
