The next band up for me at the Vans Warped Tour is Assuming We Survive, based in California. The band is on the Warped Tour promoting their first full length album All Roads Lead Home.  They played the 3:15pm slot on the Cyclops Stage and delivered a blistering set despite the heat to an enthusiastic crowd.

Assuming We Survive is often described as pop punk, but they are too hard hitting to be in that category. I would describe them instead as melodic punk meets easycore.

The band roared out with aggressive playing and catchy lyrics. Vocalist Adrian Estrella led the band and dominated the stage. Guitarists and Bassist Phil Adams, Joe Lawson and Johnny Silva were the epitome of high energy  and Kris Pasos on drums rounded out the group to deliver a hard hitting  set. They also were sporting customized baseball style jerseys with their logos and names.

This is definitely a new group to check out.
