After the incredible success of their second studio album, Peripheral Vision, Virginia Beach’s Turnover followed it up with another banger of a record called Good Nature. Shortly after its release, the band announced a full US tour that ran from early October to late November. Taking with them North Carolina rockers, Elvis Depressedly and Los Angeles’ very own Emma Ruth Rundle.
Midway through the trip, the tour arrived in Los Angeles to play two sold out nights at the world famous Troubadour in West Hollywood.
Coming into the second the night, I was expecting a very chill show, but oh man! I was wrong. Both Emma Ruth Rundle and Elvis Depressedly set up the mood with some very hard hitting songs and very intimate sets.
Turnover came on and didn’t waste time giving me and (obviously) everyone else some major feels, playing a lot of Good Nature and all the bangers on Peripheral Vision. The crowd reaction ascended from head bobbing to full on stage diving at the end of the set.
Personally, the new record hasn’t settled with me yet but it’s surely getting there. The new Turnover is a must listen and this tour was a must watch.
