New Noise Magazine has upped its spirits with the help of two brand new Arizona Landmine songs. Today we are happy to bring forth both “DIY Therapy” & “Achilles” below. “DIY Therapy” is a raw, charged song with enough punk attitude to level listeners ears with sharp melodies and punchy riffs. The drums snap through their patterns, capturing the passion that Arizona Landmine has come to be known for across the circles of do it yourself ethics.

“We wrote this song around the same time we wrote the songs for our first EP, so it’s definitely one of our oldest songs we have. According to Mark Garza (of Funeral Sounds), it sounds like The Jonas Brothers.” – Arizona Landmine

“Achilles” is more reflective in approach, with the guitars less invasive, providing space for the vocals to wind through their delivery. The song features Julia Steiner of Ratboys. The elegant harmonies help the song’s brazen midwest feel have more weight. Both of these songs are off of Heel, the band’s upcoming full length.

“Our culture often pushes the idea that expressing and being open about our emotions is some sort of faux pas, especially within a society that is heavily entrenched in toxic masculinity. This song is about a lot of things, but ultimately it boils down to accepting and owning your own sensitivity and vulnerability, and being open about that.”
