We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of My Life On Film’s music video for their song “Need To Know” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s 2015 release EP 1, which is available for purchase through Bandcamp. The band comments on the video:
“The video is something I’ve always wanted to do. I came up with the idea one day when I was changing light bulbs in the Church that I work for. I looked down at the compass rose in the floor and thought: ‘That would be an awesome place to do a raw, rocky video.’ When we wrote the EP, we wanted to have a song that showed a little more maturity with our song writing as well as sound, as opposed to our previous releases, and ‘Need To Know’ has really set the tone for the sound of our future.”

So needless to say it can become a stagnant pool of the same bands playing the same song and creating their own self-fulfilling prophecy of never leaving their hometown. The Jersey Shore 4 piece uses your own nostalgia against you, conjuring the sounds and energy of the late ’90s and early millennia pop punk scene to hook you in and remind you why you started going to shows in the first place. My Life On Film is making their name known in a state saturated in talent and rising far above their competition.
