Video Premiere: Nova Cycle – “Metropolis”

Nova Cycle band

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Nova Cycle’s music video for their song “Metropolis” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s debut self-titled album, available now through Via Nocturna Records, as well as through the band’s Bandcamp.

Nova Cycle founder Clint Yeager comments on the song/video:

“‘Metropolis’ was inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement. For me, it solidified long held nebular feelings into a more cohesive theory about wealth inequality and, more broadly, capitalism in general–that capitalism, unchecked, is an all-consuming structure that devours the very backs it was built on and for. The video is intended as an abstract illustration of a city once built by and for consumers only to be marginalized and cast aside by their very own creation. No longer able to feed on the weakened and lean resources of the everyday man, the beast begins to consume and destroy itself.”
