Sharkswimmer released the video for “Vacant Light,” the first single off of their upcoming EP Shut In, on May 13 on Cosmic Western. Their debut project is set for release on May 17. The Brooklyn “punk/indie” four-piece will kick off a busy summer with their EP release show at Alphaville in Brooklyn, NY on May 20.

“This track explores the tedious task of fitting into a new city while trying to remain connected to yourself as well as loved ones back home,” the band says. “’A Vacant Light’ provides an energetic and optimistic soundtrack to ‘finding your way in.’ For the video, we just wanted to do something fun and maybe even a tiny bit ridiculous. So, the idea of a yellow, smiley face ball mysteriously stalking us individually around the neighborhood until it finally brings us all together just felt right.”
