Swampboots just dropped a new video, “Salvage,” off their new record, Defeatism.
“Salvage is about relationships that were never meant to last, and how often we’re tempted by lust and the security of never being alone,” says video editor and director Daniel Luis Ennab. “For the music video, we wanted to go beyond a typical narrative of human interaction and convey the zany behaviors that stem from the struggle of lost love. Without uttering a word of dialogue, and showing the sometimes mundane and inflamed interactions between both apes, we’ve touched upon the simplicity and the heart of the song, which, in its outrageous depiction, unveils the puerile and intimate nature of romance just before it reached the end.”
