Taylor Hollingsworth is dropping two tracks this week, and you can hear them both right now before they officially drop October 25 via Cornelius Chapel Records.

Taylor Hollingsworth, fresh off of his full-length release of Tap Dancin’ Daddy on Flower Moon Records, brings this wild shot of cover tunes on Lo Fi and Lo Fried (Cornelius Chapel Records.)

Hollingsworth is the house musician in several Birmingham, AL bars. He’s also an Uber/ Lyft driver and part-time restaurant worker. He has become quite comfortable with his lack of national success, and honestly, we think, prefers it.

“At this point in time, with the music world the way it is, I don’t think I even consider myself a musician, more a folk artist of sound,” he says.

Taylor has played guitar, written songs, sang, and toured with many bands including, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, Dead Fingers, and the Dexateens. Taylor started as a lo-fi garage punk guitar shredder, followed the yellow brick road of musicians, and studios, large and small.

Along the way, he’s honed in on his guitar picking and songwriting. And thank goodness he’s still getting stoned in his basement and recording wild shit on a four-track, including these two covers of Muddy Waters’ “Champagne and Weed” and Syd Barrett’s “Love You.”

We asked Taylor why he was releasing these covers as a cassingle, and he said, “I think both songs sound like shit, but I had a great time recording them, and I’m working on a new full-length.” So, there you go.
